Borderline, A Classic Dance Tune From Madonna

Borderline, A Classic Dance Tune From Madonna

Any collection of the all time classic songs cannot be complete without featuring the world’s most successful female recording artist, Madonna. Yes, that’s right, according to Guinness World Records, there is no other female singer in history that tops her in terms of records sold. Many people have even named her the “Queen of Pop” but she has also received her critics for the quality of her songs.

I can perfectly understand why her songs are criticised, however, it must be remembered that if an entertainer has had so much success in a career lasting more than 25 years, then her music must have something that stirs the imagination and enthusiasm of so many music lovers. This is what makes her a legendary singer, whose greatness was officially recognised by her induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. “Borderline” is one of her first major successes that launched her to super stardom.

Induction of The Ventures

From Seattle, The Ventures defined instrumental guitar rock in the 1960s. Their hits bookended the decade, from 1960s Walk Dont Run to 1969s Hawaii Five-O. Nokie Edwards twang-guitar and the crisp rhythm of Don Wilson, bassist Bob Bogle and drummer Mel Taylor gave every Ventures album their trademark bent note sound. Long admired by other bands like the Beatles (and especially George Harrison), Stephen Stills, Joe Walsh, Aerosmith, and others, the Ventures hit the Billboard chart nearly three dozen times in the 1960s. The transparent stereo mixes enabled guitarists to isolate and learn every riff, an idea that fueled 1965s essential instruction LP Play Guitar With the Ventures. Founders of surf rock, the Ventures inspired a classic line of Mosrite guitars and have maintained a flourishing touring and recording career for decades, especially in Europe and Japan. The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame

The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame

There is a weird and wonderfully shaped building known as the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum. It isn’t in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles or Memphis. The building is sited in the home of rock and roll, which is….Cleveland Ohio. The ultra modern building is part of the city’s North Coast harbor, has seven floors and has entertained more than 7 million visitors since opening in 1995, so what ‘s it all about?

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation was created in 1983. At first the foundation had no base; New York City was an obvious choice as was Memphis, but Cleveland was the venue for the first ever Rock and Roll concert, the Moon Dog Coronation Ball (held in 1952) and as a result Cleveland was chosen as the venue for the Hall of Fame’s museum.
