Ben Keith, the veteran steel guitarist who played on Patsy Cline’s 1961 hit “I Fall to Pieces” before befriending Neil Young and going on to play on more than a dozen of the Canadian rocker’s albums, has died. Musician-Producer Ben Keith Dies at Age 73
Musician-producer Ben Keith, a longtime sideman to Neil Young , has died at age 73. The date, place and cause of death have not been confirmed, but Young acknowledged Keith’s death during a Monday night (July 26) concert in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
