Boards of Canada

Boards of Canada made their mark in 1995 with the release of “Twoism” a self-financed and released extended player that got them noticed by the young Skam Records. When Boards of Canada eventually signed with Warp Records (one of the most powerful and influential experiemental electronica record labels in the world), the album was re-released on CD and vinyl in 2002. A few years later with their debut full length “Music Has the Right to Children” the band hit their stride with a selection of hazy, druggy ambient music that brought one’s thoughts back to summer nights, childhood and the innocence of youth. The album was made largely using manipulated sounds and field recordings to create a dreamlike album that sounded like nothing else at the time. They Have never been able to top the acclaim of “Music has the Right to Children” but have released two more powerful and unique albums in 2002 and 2005.  Play Now...
