Let me give you some easy progressions that will help you in your improvisational piano playing! What is a progression? A progression is a set of chords played consecutively. Generally, successive chords in a chord progression share some notes, which provides harmonic and linear continuity to a passage. What is a II-V-I progression? Is is a chord progression with three chords built on the roots of the second, fifth and first note of a key. The three roman numerals correspond to the digits 2, 5 and 1. Bernie Leadon Natural Progressions Country Music CD Review

Richly talented Country artist Bernie Leadon has released him latest CD titled Natural Progressions and Wow! It’s really a good one. I wish it weren’t the case but, it’s not everyday that I get a CD from an artist that I can just pop in and comfortably listen to from beginning to end. There is usually a song or two that I just can’t force myself to get through. Not at all the case with Natural Progressions. Every track is enjoyable and was pretty easy for me to listen to from start to finish. Natural Progressions has a pleasantly varied, mix of 10 tracks that are very well written songs by this clearly gifted artist. With many of the songs displaying a lot of the kind emotion that makes for a really great listen. Clearly drawing from what I can only imagine are him own real life experiences. [...]
